On Yahoo!'s homepage, there is a little navigation bar that has links to email, weather, music, traffic, and such. It also has a box for your daily horoscope. Now believe me, I'm not one to plan out my life in accordance to what stars and planets are aligning at the moment, but it has become a guilty pleasure of mine to read my horoscope and muse about how it could apply to my current situation. Here's what mine said today:
"Reminiscing about the past is better when you have someone to remember it with"
OK... On the first reading of this I thought "how true is this!". I've been missing my missionary like crazy these past couple of days, most of my best friends in the world are in various places around the country, and I've been spending lots of time reminiscing and looking at old photos of good times past. True story that it would be better to have these friends around to re-share these good memories with! It's been lame doing it alone.
Then I read it again. Perhaps it means that the memories are more clear, more accurate, more correct when you have someone else to recount the stories with. Two heads are better than one when it comes to such things. They say that absence makes me heart grow fonder. Maybe by reminiscing alone, I am creating a rose colored version of the past?
What ever the Yahoo! stars are trying to tell me today... with my great migration to Michigan growing closer and closer (26 days!), today I feel like clinging to the past, and everything familiar, with anyone who's willing!
